Wayne Ramos has worked at a vacuum repair shop for the last 10 years. He uses the ProGuard 10 Wet/Dry Vacuum, here’s what he has to say about it:
I use the ProGuard 10 wet/dry vacuum both at home and at work. At home I use it like I would use a compact canister, cleaning in the house and out in the garage. At work, I use it when repairing other vacuums. It has enough suction to pull the clogs through. I also clean air conditioner vents, around refrigerators, and between cabinets. It works well when I use it to dry carpet faster after carpet cleaning and clean the water out of evaporative swamp coolers before winter.
It’s the perfect size for what I use it for. I like the length of the hose; it doesn’t bump into you when you’re maneuvering. Emptying it is simple with the latches on the sides. It has a very solid feel when I shut it. Other machines become deformed after you open and shut them many times.
When I use it to clean in dry areas, I use the bag filter system, which makes it a lot cleaner and easier to empty. With the optional bag support, the cleaner air really comes through. It removes that dog hair smell from the air.
Every now and then something overflows, and it is really nice to have on hand. I had a 10-gallon bucket fall over, and it picked up the liquid quickly. My old shop vacuum couldn’t have handled that. I used the squeegee attachment, and it dried the floor really well.
I like the filtration, power, and performance of the ProGuard 10. It’s a good solid machine and very easy to use.
